Customers find the movie thought-provoking, with Willem Dafoe delivering one of his finest performances as Jesus, and they appreciate how it drives home the significance of Christ’s death and resurrection. The historical context receives mixed reactions, with some enjoying seeing the human side of Christ while others consider it a horrible depiction. The story and realism aspects are also mixed, with some finding it entertaining while others find it boring, and while many consider it worth watching, some view it as pure blasphemy.
